One two-month cruise through the Australian Coast has been cancelled following the death of an elderly lady who was stranded by the ship on a remote coastal location.

The elderly woman had been walking on the tropical location with other travelers from the vessel, but parted ways from the party for a rest. The liner left without her and came back several hours later after the personnel realised the woman was unaccounted for.

A large-scale search operation found her body the following day.

Investigative bodies are examining the incident, in coordination with investigators and the medical examiner.

Chief Executive of the shipping company stated that passengers and personnel on the ship were notified that the remainder of the journey had been cancelled due to the "tragic passing and earlier engine troubles".
