English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the last year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The three contenders were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on the 18th of December.

The show will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.

These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
