Remains Found in Car Linked to Singer D4vd Identified as Disappeared Teen

Officials in the US have revealed that badly decomposed remains discovered in a car registered to artist D4vd have been identified as a previously disappeared 15-year-old girl.

Law enforcement personnel located the body of Celeste Rivas inside the trunk of an impounded Tesla on September 8, after responding to reports of a strong odor at a Los Angeles tow yard.

Authorities stated that both the cause and time of her demise are still unknown.

Rivas, a resident of Lake Elsinore in California, was 13 years old at the moment of her disappearance and was spotted on 5 April 2024, as stated in a public alert.

Earlier, officers mentioned that the Tesla had probably been at the tow yard for "several days" before the finding.

The vehicle, which bears a Texas registration, was towed from the Hills area after being abandoned five days earlier.

The automobile is under the name of 20-year-old David Anthony Burke, the official name of recording artist D4vd.

Last week, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported that the individual whose body were discovered was 157cm tall, had wavy black hair, and was clad in a sleeveless shirt and black leggings.

It was noted that the remains had a tattoo on the right index finger that said: "Shhh."

The body were not intact, and it seemed the teen had been deceased for an lengthy duration of time, according to police insiders.

D4vd, who has millions of followers on social media, is most famous for his viral hits "Here With Me" and "Romantic Homicide".

He released his debut album in April and was touring when the remains were found in the Tesla. The tour's scheduled show in Seattle on Wednesday was called off.

Authorities say that D4vd is working together with the investigation.
