I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
