Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca stated on Friday that Cole Palmer is ready to play for the team's vital Premier League fixture against London rivals Arsenal.

The young English midfielder was unavailable due to a broken toe sustained after an unfortunate incident.

“He is ready to start and participate,” Maresca said. “The whole team is delighted.”

This season, Palmer has featured in just four games in every contest, scoring twice.

Everton have failed in their protest against Idrissa Gueye's dismissal for a fight with teammate Michael Keane during the team's single-goal triumph at Manchester United.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” coach David Moyes revealed. “We received no rationale for the denial but we did appeal it.”

Inquired about any further fallout from the event, Moyes remarked: “The matter was resolved instantly, it was done, that was it, we progressed swiftly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

Newcastle United's recent acquisition Yoane Wissa has trained with his new teammates for the initial occasion since sustaining a knee problem shortly after his arrival from Brentford in September.

The defender was feeling his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 Europa League victory, but Dyche said the player “is expected to be okay”.

Meanwhile, Ola Aina (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), the winger (hamstring), the striker (knee), and the defender (hip) are likely to miss out.
